A few years ago my friend Marne wrote this story, based on a real life Mad Cappers’ Tea Party. It’s a story about a woman who loses her hair – well, really it’s about love and laughter and how those things can help in almost every situation. Now it’s been published as a beautiful hard cover book.
Our target audience was children and their families and carers who are affected either directly or indirectly by hair-loss for whatever reason, illness medical treatments and so on. Conversations about these topics can be difficult to initiate, and we hope that our book can help to get people talking and ease the awkwardness and fear. The cause of the protagonist’s hair-loss is not mentioned in the book, so each reader can identify with the story in their own way.
